For decades, Cal Poly Swim & Dive has cultivated champions — in the pool, in the classroom, and in life. On March 7, 2025, Cal Poly announced it is eliminating the program — not because of a lack of success or demand, but due to financial constraints. But we can save it, with your support.
Save Cal Poly Swim & Dive is a broad-based group of supporters – including alumni, student athletes, faculty, parents and friends of the program. We are fundraising to create an endowment to not only reinstate Cal Poly Swim & Dive, but to enable it to thrive well into the future.
This isn’t just a Cal Poly issue. The loss of a high-performing collegiate program has ripple effects throughout the national swimming and diving community — at a time when Olympic hopefuls and elite athletes are already facing fewer opportunities to develop at the highest levels.
